Quay Consultants Ltd is a specialist company involved in boat and yacht surveys on the south coast. We are well situated to survey vessels throughout the south of the UK and have good connections to carry out surveys in most locations. We have considerable experience, having been involved in the trade for over 50 years. Our knowledge extends to wooden vessels and we have expertise in the field of timber construction. We are happy to offer boat and yacht surveys in this field also. We can offer the option of surveys for the purpose of purchase or for insurance renewal.

We have particular skills in the identification of osmosis and the treatment of this condition. We are pleased to offer our boat and yacht surveys to identify or advise on the repair of this problem. We have worked with a number of yards on the south coast overseeing the treatment of craft with epoxy systems. We are also well qualified to advise on structural repairs to the hull for stress cracking and laminate failure.

We are full members of the IIMS (International Institute of Marine Surveying). We are therefore available for the Coding of small craft to 24 metres for MCA (Marine Coastguard Agency) for commercial use. We would carry out a full survey to confirm conformity and advise on the most suitable Category and equipment requirements.
